Christian Academy of Guatemala’s Quill and Scroll Honor Society has opened its doors to new members. The Q&S’s induction ceremony, held on the evening of March 9, inducted the new four members to the organization. The following students exhibited qualities like integrity, a heart to initiate, wisdom to lead, and good judgment: Corrine Newburn (12), Seo Yun Hwang (12), Gustavo Venegas (11), and Joo Hee Lee (10).

As Gustavo Venegas, a new member of the Q&S, quoted, "I had a great time at the induction! The well-thought-out program and the wonderful decorations made it unforgettable. It was a huge honor, and I enjoyed the recognition for the hard work of me and my peers!"

The Quill and Scroll is an honorary organization for high school students recognized for their achievement in journalism and scholastic publication who are outstanding in truth, learning, leadership, loyalty, initiative, integrity, judgment, and friendship, as mentioned in the induction ceremony.

After the explanation of the eight principles of the Quill and Scroll society, the inductees lined up and walked through the aisle lit by LED lights to light the candle of truth, where they were ready to accept their pins and be welcomed as members. They then shook hands with Mrs. Davis, receiving their pins, cords, and certificates. The pins symbolized the painstaking efforts of the scribes of old to record the events and think of their time, wishing for their posterity. With their pledge and signature on the book, the inductees become lifetime members of the Quill and Scroll. The induction ceremony ended with pictures and catch-up conversations while drinking coffee and eating crackers provided by Ale Venegas, a member of Q&S.
